Such a sad thing for a Monday morning. Eight Belles, the second place winner of the Kentucky Derby was euthanized this weekend after breaking both front ankles. I have such fond memories of my Nana taking me out to the Belmont Race Track when I was young (I'm pretty sure she wasn't gambling while we were there). And riding at my aunt and uncle's in Minnesota with their Arabians and Quarter Horses. Horses are such majestic creatures - it is such a tragedy to see this happen.

Tragedy
Such a sad thing for a Monday morning. Eight Belles, the second place winner of the Kentucky Derby was euthanized this weekend after breaking both front ankles. I have such fond memories of my Nana taking me out to the Belmont Race Track when I was young (I'm pretty sure she wasn't gambling while we were there).
