The Blank Park Zoo is truly a great place to go. It's a small zoo but they have done it right and it's habitat friendly for the animals. So if you are in Des Moines, I highly recommend it. Johnathan and I saw Rosie the elephant the first time she was at Blank and now she is back with her baby JP. 
We waited an hour to actually watch the show. And I'm glad we did because we had the best seats in the house.
