Things to do....

Right now my mind is swirling around my trip. I don't usually get to worked up over things too early but right now I feel like I have a million things to do. Why does TSA have to be so discriminatory towards women? I do not know many women who can shove all their potions and lotions into a 1 quart bag. It's really quite impossible. (No I am not checking my bags.) Yesterday, I decided to bring my curling iron. Well that means a converter and an adapter. So then I have to figure out what kind of adapter and well as the voltage in two different countries. What am I? An electrician? I just want to look nice when I want to look nice. Is that too much to ask for?

So any advice for me from you seasoned international travelers?

I bet I still have my converter/adapter hanging around... I have a whole set of adapters taht will take you just about anywhere in the world. One word of warning, if you have a super expensive curling iron I'd buy a cheaper version and take it. I saw at least 4 or 5 curling irons bite the dust in my two 3 week trips. Even with the converter, I don't think that it takes the voltage down enough and it fries just about everything.

Yes--take as little as possible. You are going to be looking hot on an African beach the whole time--swimsuits, cover ups, make up, sunglasses, sandals. Check, check, check.
