Acceptance

So it's early and the office is quiet. I'm working at my desk. Todd and Josh are sitting in the reception area chatting about the gigantic, gooey cinnamon rolls that Ray brought in this morning. Ray is a non-traditional student who frequently comes to the office to get help in math. He's very pleasant and I always make sure to say hey when he comes in. Today I noticed he was in a particularly good mood so I ask him about it.

"Ray, what's going on? You seem to be in great spirits today." - Me

"I am in a good mood. My father-in-law just gave his life to the Lord." - Ray

*pause*

I obviously dropped my chipper voice to say, "I'm so sorry Ray."

Josh and Todd are witnessing this whole conversation and offer nothing....

Ray goes on to say, "No, my FIL just accepted God into his life."

Laughing soo much that I'm crying. What a great way to start the day. :)
