ugh....

Going back to work after having a week off is HARD. I got up much later than I normally do which of course made me late to work. I am the one who is at the office at least a half hour before anyone else. Hopefully by Monday life will get back to normal.

I know you are just dying to know what happened at New Year's Eve....and I wish I had some really crazy story for you but it was completely uneventful. I had a minor hair catastrophe as I was getting ready. (note to self: never try a new product before a big event.) I arrived and I'm not going to lie - it was a little awkward. I didn't know what to do or say when I first got there. So I grabbed some food just to give me something to do. Eventually small talk was had and some flipping of shit. GM left early with a couple of other people to hit the bars. As he was leaving, he put his hand on my shoulder as he was coming up behind me and wished me a happy new year. That was it.

The things to take away from the whole event.
1. After a break-up, DO NOT talk to the person for a very long time. GM and I had not spoken in a year and it totally made the difference. I really had no feelings for him what so ever.

2. Even if you have no feelings for the ex - you still want to look amazing. What is that about? I think it has to do with - The best revenge is living well.

3. My life is very good.

UPDATE: Just found out from Trace that she didn't tell GM I would be at the party. Now the awkwardness makes sense. He was a little surprised to see me walk in the door. Kind of funny when you think about it.

U R so right, the best revenge is living well! But of course being hot like you are doesn't hurt either!

Not talking to an ex for a while after a breakup is DEFINITELY the way to go.

I agree...don't talk for a long time after a break up. It makes it too messy if you do! And looking great is always a must! Glad it went well!
